£5.000 to conference participants

October 29th, 2007 by Tore Plougheld · No Comments

As Play The Game takes place on Iceland, several conference participants have had a tough job raising money to travel from distant places to the island in the far north.

That is why the national federations of journalists in Norway and Denmark has agreed to pay £ 5.000 to Play The Game, so that the organization can use the money as travel funds to make it possible for people far away to participate in the conference.

“This way we ensure, that both journalists and experts from very distant countries are represented here to participate in the debates on their own countries”, says Fred Jakobsen, vice president of the Danish Federation of Journalists, who also takes part in this years conference.
