“Media is important revealing problems in international sport”

Vice president of the Danish Federation of Journalists says, that the media have a special role to play in covering the problems in international sport.

Early monday morning on Iceland, the first daily plenary session about mega events in sports is about to begin.

Among the audience this morning is Fred Jakobsen, vice president of the Danish Federation of Journalists, DJ. He claims, that the media has a special responsibility to cover international sport - for both the positive and the negative things.

” I totally agree with the words, that came from the president of Iceland in the opening speech of Play The Game. If there can be corruption in sport, corruption can be anywhere. That its why it’s so important with a profound coverage of both positive and negative sides of national and international sport event, especially the so-called Mega Events”.

Fred Jakobsen stays three days on Play The Game to follow his great interest: sport.
